Hapkido is one of the most fascinating, effective martial arts of our time. Although credited as a Korean art, it draws heavily on techniques and principles from Japan and China. As a result of a convoluted history many people, Korean’s in particular, have sought to rewrite the history of the art, often making wild and fanciful claims.

International Hapkido is the UK’s largest and most established organisation teaching Authentic Hapkido. With over thirty years of experience as the leading Hapkido organisation we have taught literally thousands of students, from all walks of life. Today we have classes across the UK and provide a coach development programme for those interesting in learning to teach Authentic Hapkido (see later section on Coaching).
